In rural communities like Brown  County, coordinated transportation programs can help to more effectively address the mobility and accessibility needs of rural residents. Especially for less mobile members of the community such as low income, seniors, and disabled individuals, programs that ensure equitable services are critical.  

Approximately 16.3%% of individuals who live in Brown County have identified themselves as handicapped or disabled, which impairs their mobility. Currently, 16% of the County residents are over 65 years old. These groups either have or will have a lack of transportation.

The Mobility Manager will coordinate transportation services, teach people how to use transit, integrate trips between agencies, educate communities about transportation options, run call centers, and more. If you need to get from one destination to another, a Mobility Manager can help you find the most efficient, the most cost effective, and the more creative way of thinking. ​
